How a TRON QR code works

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana each have a standard payment link that can carry an amount. TRON doesn't have one that wallets agree on, so a TRON QR code holds just your address. Every TRON wallet and exchange scanner reads it, and the payer types the amount.

TRON addresses start with a capital T and are 34 characters long. They end with a Base58Check checksum, which CryptoQR Maker verifies as you paste, so a single wrong character is caught.

Receiving USDT on TRON? The same address works, but the sender must pick the TRC-20 network. Our sister site TokenQR makes a card with "Send only USDT on TRON (TRC-20)" printed on it.

Questions

Why can't I add an amount for TRON?

TRON has no widely supported payment-link format, so wallets would ignore the amount or fail to read the code. A plain address works everywhere.

Does this QR code work for USDT TRC-20 too?

Yes. One TRON address receives TRX and every TRC-20 token. Tell the sender which token and network to use, or make a labeled card on TokenQR.

Do I need TRX to receive?

No. The sender pays the network fee. You'll need TRX (or staked energy) later to send from your own TRON wallet.

What does a TRON address look like?

A capital T followed by 33 letters and numbers. It never contains 0, O, I or a lowercase l.
